Sweet, salty, slightly sour and spicy, this honey garlic chicken recipe hits all the right notes.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 ounces each)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Instruction
- In a shallow bowl, mix flour, salt and pepper. Pound chicken breasts with a meat mallet to 1/2-in. thickness. Dip chicken in flour mixture to coat both sides; shake off excess.
- In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Brown chicken on both sides.
- In a small bowl, combine honey, soy, vinegar and garlic. Drizzle over chicken. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until chicken is no longer pink, 8-10 minutes.
